I-League: Sudeva beat Arrows 3-0 to register maiden winNew Delhi, Jan 14 - Debutants Sudeva Delhi FC beat Indian Arrows 3-0 to register their first win in the I-League at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Thursday. Kean Lewis, Mahesh Singh, and substitute Shaiborlang Kharpan found the back of the net as Sudeva squeezed the All India Football Federation's (AIFF) developmental team by maintaining a high line. They dominated the stats in terms of the number of chances created and possession. Lewis orchestrated most of the attacks for Sudeva and put them ahead in the 40th minute when he capitalised on a mistake by goalkeeper Ahaan Prakash and found the net from a tight angle to send the Delhi outfit into the lead. The first half ended with Sudeva leading 1-0. They continued their dominance in the second half and doubled their lead in the 49th minute as Mahesh Singh capitalised on yet again a defensive error and slotted home from a tight angle. The Arrows were no match for Sudeva's high press and gave possession away cheaply. Shariborlang Kharpan scored the third in the 66th minute when he bundled home a free ball off a corner kick. --IANS rkm/bg
