The drama begins when Balu goes on a trip and finds Rajesh heavily drunk and collapsed. Balu attempts to rouse him, but Rajesh, in his drunken stupor, speaks incoherently about life being useless without money. After sprinkling water on him and even giving him a slap when he doesn’t sober up, Balu finally gets Rajesh to explain his distress. Rajesh pours out his heart, lamenting, “My uncle’s Shashtipurthi was celebrated grandly. Now it’s my father’s Shashtipurthi, and I don’t have money to celebrate it grandly. For drivers like us, money isn’t as easy to come by as desires are born. I asked many people, but no one helped. My father raised me with great difficulty since childhood. I wanted to do something memorable for him, but I can’t. Even the jewelry is in the bank.” Hearing this heartfelt plea, Balu’s heart melts. Consequently, he tells Rajesh that he will provide the money for the function, promising that ensuring the event goes well is his responsibility.
Concurrently, Rohini and Manoj are at the showroom, frustrated about not finding a suitable bodyguard. As Rohini offers advice, a person comes in looking for a job. Manoj is quite impressed by him. When Manoj offers a salary of ten thousand, the man states that salary is not important; just providing food is enough. However, upon hearing the menu he describes – a list of food items fit for a ‘Bakasura’ (a mythical demon known for insatiable hunger) – Manoj and Rohini are left wide-mouthed. Manoj expresses concern that feeding him might be difficult, but Rohini convinces him, saying, “If you feed him, he’ll work like an ox; he’s the right one.”
Meanwhile, back home, while Meena is doing chores, Balu calls her to explain Rajesh’s predicament.
