The story picks up directly from the second season’s conclusion. Rekha (Devayani Sharma) and Vikram (Chaitanya Krishna)’s divorce case is ongoing in court. Ganta Ravi (Priyadarshi), constantly irritated by his wife Haimavathi (Jordar Sujatha)’s nagging, buys a flat in an apartment community but struggles with its rules, leading to continuous arguments with her. Meanwhile, Rahul (Abhinav Gomatam) has moved to Bengaluru with his wife, abandoning his writing career for a job he dislikes. One day, the three friends gather, drinking, and curse Indra, the king of gods, holding him responsible for their miserable married lives if marriages are indeed made in heaven. Witnessing their plight, Indra (Vennela Kishore) instructs his assistant Gupta (Gundu Sudarshan) to intervene. Consequently, Gupta brings three doppelgangers from another world who look just like them, arranges a conversation, and then executes a swap – sending the doppelgangers to this world and the protagonists to the other.
In this new, alternate world, everything appears the same, including their families, but their circumstances are vastly different. Ganta Ravi is now an MLA, Rahul a renowned writer, and Vikram the CEO of a large company. Delighted to see their dreams realized in this reality, a central question arises: will these three remain in the other world? What will life be like for those who came from that world to this one? What problems will emerge for whom because of this swap? How will they return to their respective worlds? What will Indra do, and will their marital problems be resolved, leading their wives to understand them? To discover these answers, viewers must watch the series.
Swapped Lives, Dream Realities
The first two seasons of ‘Save The Tigers’ thoroughly entertained audiences with their focus on the relationships and conflicts of three couples, building high expectations for Season 3. This season, comprising seven episodes, begins precisely from the unresolved issues left by the second season. Each episode is crafted with a simple yet impactful start, revolving around the premise of husbands wanting to escape their wives and current lives, only to be shifted to another world where they lead their desired existences.
The concept of two worlds, each with two identical versions of every character, effectively generates comedic confusion throughout the series. It explores the difficulties one might face even with wealth in the alternate world, while also showing the hardships encountered by the alternate-world doppelgangers who arrive in this reality. The screenplay skillfully switches between the original and alternate worlds, blending comedy with confusion, and towards the end, attempts to infuse emotional depth into the husband-wife relationships. Themes such as the husband’s dynamic between his mother and wife after marriage, wives’ suspicions, and husbands engaging in disliked activities are also delved into. Vennela Kishore’s portrayal of Indra, adapted to current trends for comedic effect, offers moments of laughter, though some dialogues and scenes in Indralok (Indra’s realm) feel a bit over the top. Right from the opening, the series grabs attention by introducing two identical versions of Ganta Ravi, Rahul, and Vikram, pulling viewers into the main narrative. While generally not boring, the last episode feels somewhat stretched, culminating in a routine ending that conveys the familiar idea that “nobody can do anything about the concept of marriage.” The series also addresses topics like women’s empowerment, good versus evil, and true feminism, with some scenes evoking memories of films like ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’ and ‘Dharuvu’.
Once again, the three main couples – Priyadarshi and Haimavathi, Abhinav Gomatam and Pavani Gangireddy, and Chaitanya Krishna and Devayani Sharma – deliver strong performances and successfully make audiences laugh. Abhinav Gomatam is particularly effective in his comedic timing. Vennela Kishore shines in his guest appearance as Indra, while Jabardasth Rohini continues her role and surprises with impressive action in the climax. Supporting cast members like Gangavva, Gundu Sudarshan, Harshavardhan, and Jhansi also perform well in their respective roles.

Technically, the cinematography is good, and the background music is passable. The director-writers have adeptly developed and brought to screen an interesting premise: what happens when two pairs of characters swap places, with individuals from an alternate world coming here and people from this world going there, all within a husband-wife dynamic.
