Tagging several media reports, Chinmayi tweeted, “According to reports, Johnny Master started harassing the girl when she was a minor. I hope she gains the strength to fight in this case.” Chinmayi Sripada, known for her feminist views, is not only vocal about issues in the film industry but also speaks out about injustices faced by women and children in society through social media.
In recent times, Chinmayi has supported victims by raising her voice against sexual harassment allegations, including those against writer Vairamuthu and singer Karthik. She has stood by victims as they come forward with their experiences. Now, with rape allegations emerging against Tollywood’s top choreographer Johnny Master, Chinmayi has once again shown her support for the victim, calling for strict action against him through a social media post. This tweet has since gone viral.
In 2017, during a popular dance show on a TV channel, Johnny Master allegedly became acquainted with the girl and repeatedly assaulted her. The victim recently filed a complaint at the Raidurgam Police Station. An FIR has been registered, and it’s been revealed that the girl is only 21 years old.
