Indian cinema superstar Deepika Padukone and her husband, Ranveer Singh, have become parents to a baby girl. The couple welcomed their first child at the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on the morning of Sunday, September 8. Both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.
Though Deepika’s due date was initially expected in the last week of September, she gave birth earlier than anticipated. On Saturday, a day before the birth, the couple visited the Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai to offer prayers.
Deepika Padukone had announced her pregnancy in February and promptly wrapped up her film commitments. She made only one public appearance, attending the promotional event for “Kalki 2898 AD.”
