Johnny Master Faces Sexual Harassment Allegations; Investigation Underway

A major controversy has erupted in Tollywood, with popular choreographer Johnny Master at the center of serious allegations. A female choreographer has accused him of sexual harassment, claiming that he pressured her to convert her religion and marry him. The victim also stated that she was subjected to repeated harassment, both in her personal life and in professional matters. Following these allegations, the woman filed a police complaint, and the authorities have initiated an investigation into the case.

In light of these developments, the Tollywood Sexual Harassment Redressal Panel held a press meet to address the issue. Actress and anchor Jhansi, speaking at the event, shed light on the current situation in the film industry. “The film industry is an unorganized sector, and there are no proper guidelines from the government for women’s safety,” she said. Jhansi pointed out that after the infamous Sri Reddy controversy, a committee was formed to tackle such issues. Johnny Master’s case has been under review by this committee for the past two weeks.

According to Jhansi, the victim initially reported harassment in the workplace, but later opened up about sexual harassment. Both the victim’s and Johnny Master’s statements have been recorded. It was also clarified that the alleged sexual harassment did not occur at the workplace. The matter has progressed legally, and the police are actively investigating the case. The committee expects to reach clarity within 90 days. Jhansi emphasized the importance of keeping the victim’s identity confidential and requested that no one reveal her details or photos.

During the press meet, veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja also addressed the media. He acknowledged that the issue came to the panel’s attention through media reports and expressed concern about the lack of confidence women feel in the industry. “Despite the formation of various panels, we are still struggling to provide women the security and assurance they need,” he said. He stressed the importance of every woman knowing that she has support and protection.

Tammareddy further added that the Johnny Master case will be resolved within 90 days and urged the industry’s unions to establish their own complaint committees. He also mentioned that the Dancers’ Union is fully cooperating with the panel to ensure justice in this case.

As the investigation continues, all eyes are on how Tollywood will handle yet another high-profile case of harassment. The industry needs to ensure a safe working environment for women, and this case might just be a turning point.
