Choreographer Jani Master Faces Sexual Assault Allegations: Police Investigation Underway

Prominent Tollywood choreographer Jani Master is facing severe allegations of sexual assault, with a police case filed by the Narsingi Police. The complaint was lodged by a young woman who claims that Jani Master assaulted her during a work trip to Mumbai in 2019. This has triggered a wide-scale investigation, with significant developments as the police look to bring the accused in for questioning.

The Allegations

According to the complaint, the woman joined Jani Master’s team as an assistant choreographer in 2019. She was allegedly coerced into traveling to Mumbai for a show, where she claims the assault took place in a hotel. The victim also stated that Jani Master continued to behave inappropriately during work-related shoots, even threatening her to remain silent about the assault. She further alleged that he pressured her to convert to his religion and marry him.

Threats and Harassment

As the investigation progressed, more troubling details surfaced. The victim claimed that Jani Master physically assaulted her by pulling her hair when she resisted his advances. Recently, on August 28, the woman received a disturbing parcel at her home with a note that read, “Congratulations for son be careful,” which has been added to the FIR filed by the police.

Legal Actions and Investigation

Upon receiving the complaint, the Rayadurgam Police registered a Zero FIR and transferred the case to the Narsingi Police, the jurisdiction of the victim’s residence. The Narsingi Police have since intensified the investigation by visiting the victim’s home and gathering all relevant details. The police have also charged Jani Master under the POCSO Act, given the four-year-long period of alleged sexual harassment.

Jani Master’s Whereabouts

As of now, Jani Master has been unreachable, with his phone turned off, and attempts to contact him have failed. Police suspect that he may have fled to North India, as their initial investigation suggests. Four special teams have been deployed to track down Jani Master. In the meantime, he has been removed from his position as the president of the Choreographers Association.

The Narsingi Police continue their search for Jani Master, and he has been issued a notice to appear for questioning. As the case unfolds, more details are expected to emerge.
