Telugu cinema continues to heavily invest in pan-Indian film projects, even as profits have been shrinking in some areas. However, only the biggest pan-Indian Telugu films are raking in hundreds of crores at the box office. Following the successes of Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, the producers behind Prabhas’s films have realized the importance of prioritizing top-tier action sequences and cutting-edge visual effects.
Audiences now expect nothing short of spectacular action from Prabhas, which has led producers to significantly increase the budgets of his films.
Among Prabhas’s upcoming projects, the one generating the most excitement is Sandeep Vanga’s action drama Spirit. After the massive success of his Bollywood film Animal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has solidified his position as one of India’s top directors, with fans eagerly awaiting an extraordinary outcome.
In Spirit, Prabhas will take on the role of a police officer, and according to sources close to the production, the film’s budget will surpass a staggering ₹500 crore.
For comparison, the budget of Prabhas’s previous blockbuster, Kalki 2898 AD, was ₹450 crore, but Spirit is set to exceed even that. Shooting for the film is expected to begin in early 2025.
