Discussing the film’s title and its content, Anudeep stated, “We chose ‘Funky’ because it sounds catchy and we hoped it would connect with the current generation. ‘Funky’ is an out-and-out romantic comedy and a family entertainer. I’ve humorously depicted some incidents from the lives of directors and the film industry in a way that even general audiences can understand. The film features a love story along with emotional scenes related to family. People often assume my films lack logic because they contain a lot of comedy, but there is logic in all my films. Speaking about the lead actors, Anudeep said, “Vishwak Sen will be seen playing a film director in this movie. When I wrote this character, I felt Vishwak would be perfect for it. Since Nagavamsi was busy, I would discuss matters related to ‘Funky’ with Chinababu garu.” Speaking about his next films, Anudeep revealed, “I narrated a story to Venkatesh garu, and he suggested changes. After making those changes, I need to narrate it to Suresh Babu garu. If he approves, the film will be finalized. I am also currently writing a female-oriented story.
