  • Family Fumes! Media Spreading ‘Baseless’ Deccan Reports.
  • Court Rejects Warrant: No Adverse Remarks on Daggubatis!
  • Legal Action Threat: Remove False News, Family Warns Media.

The Daggubati family, a name synonymous with Telugu cinema, continues to navigate the complexities of the Deccan Kitchen case. Recent proceedings at Nampally Court have brought a significant development: the court has adjourned the next hearing to February 25, importantly granting the family an exemption from personal appearance. This move offers a temporary reprieve amidst ongoing legal battles.

Court Grants Daggubati Family Appearance Exemption

The Daggubati family has been consistently embroiled in the Deccan Kitchen case, with recent developments in Nampally Court providing some clarity. The court has adjourned the next hearing to February 25, notably granting the family an exemption from personal appearance.

Throughout this process, the Daggubati family has expressed strong displeasure over the media’s dissemination of false reports, arguing that the actual events of the case differ significantly from what goes viral on social media. Annoyed by this pervasive misreporting, the Daggubati family recently issued an official statement. In it, they conveyed their distress, highlighting that even court proceedings are being sensationalized as “breaking news.” They questioned the ethics of propagating news haphazardly about a sub-judice matter, especially given their prominence, which often leads to minor issues being embellished and extensively publicized. The family has taken a serious stance, warning of legal action if such practices continue.

Referring to the Nampally Court proceedings, the family’s statement clarified, “It is regrettable that the media is falsely reporting every court hearing in the Deccan Kitchen case as ‘breaking news’ with baseless stories. While it is true that the case is pending in Nampally Court, the court has not made any adverse remarks against the Daggubati family. Furthermore, the court has not issued any warnings regarding a non-bailable warrant. Since our advocate is appearing on our behalf, the court has already granted us an exemption from personal appearance.” The statement further revealed that the court had rejected the opposing party’s plea for a non-bailable warrant, deeming it unnecessary.

Daggubatis Slam Media, Threaten Legal Action

Despite these facts, the Daggubati family asserts that the media continues to propagate “completely baseless and false news about every hearing.” They have urged media organizations to verify such news with official court records before publishing them. Consequently, they have requested all news channels, social media platforms, and news portals to immediately remove the false and defamatory reports already broadcast and published, warning that “Failing to do so, we warn that we will take appropriate legal action.”

The Deccan Kitchen case is set to continue in Nampally Court, with its next hearing on February 25. With the Daggubati family again granted an exemption from personal appearance, their focus remains on challenging what they perceive as irresponsible media coverage and ensuring accurate reporting of the legal proceedings.

Looking Ahead

As Nampally Court reconvenes on Feb 25, the Daggubati family’s resolve against media sensationalism remains clear. Their repeated exemption underlines trust in the legal process. This case stands as a crucial reminder: integrity must guide reporting, ensuring truth ultimately shapes public perception. We watch developments closely.
