Actress Hema recently made “sensational remarks,” candidly addressing past allegations and highlighting the immense support she received from Megastar Chiranjeevi. While expressing gratitude for the industry’s solidarity and her clean chit, Hema deeply lamented the void left by the late Dasari Narayana Rao, reflecting on how his presence is sorely missed in navigating such challenges within the film fraternity.

Industry Stood By Me: Hema

Actress Hema recently made sensational remarks, responding to allegations leveled against her. She elaborated on how Megastar Chiranjeevi extended his support, also reminiscing about the significant void left by Dasari Narayana Rao, adding that the film industry as a whole stood in solidarity with her. Hema lamented, “When news about rave parties and drugs surfaced against me, people fabricated stories as they pleased. However, after I received a clean chit, I did not receive the expected support from the media.” Speaking to the media on Monday, she candidly expressed her feelings, particularly bringing the crucial role of industry elders like Megastar Chiranjeevi and Dasari Narayana Rao into focus.

Responding to a media query asking if she received any support from the industry during the ordeal, Hema offered a clear explanation regarding the film industry’s backing. She clarified, “Why wouldn’t they? Megastar Chiranjeevi sent his associates and instructed them to provide me with whatever assistance I needed. Subsequently, our leading actors, along with two or three other heroes and all the directors, offered their support. Do not claim that my industry did not support me. Mr. Vishnu Babu also extended his support, even posting a tweet.” She further asserted, “I received 101% industry support; do not say otherwise. While there might have been some initial misunderstanding within our association, it was quickly resolved. Chiranjeevi has even promised to offer me a good character in his next movie. Although he may not have personally visited me, he has been constantly in touch through his people, keeping abreast of all developments.”

Hema Urges Andhra Film Incentives

Following this, Hema discussed the need for promoting artists in both Telugu states and incentives for filmmaking in Andhra Pradesh. She noted, “It has been a long time since awards were presented in Andhra Pradesh. If the industry were invited with assurances of subsidies or other incentives for shooting films in Andhra, why wouldn’t we work there? We are all prepared to go. That belongs to us, and this belongs to us; both states are ours.” She strongly endorsed Chiranjeevi’s profound statement: “Encourage artists; now that there are two states, it would be beneficial if we are also respected in that state.” Hema lamented that even this well-intentioned statement was being distorted and sensationalized with arbitrary thumbnails. She added, “In times like these, I feel it would have been better if someone like Dasari were present.” While acknowledging Chiranjeevi’s significant support as an industry elder, her comment about Dasari’s absence for leadership led some netizens to question her consistency.

Nonetheless, Hema reiterated her aspiration for the governments of both Telugu states to strive for the development of the film industry and the promotion of artists. She firmly affirmed that Chiranjeevi helped her by dispatching his associates to stand by her, and the film industry offered her a resounding 101% support, dismissing claims of no one being there as false. Hema urged that if films are produced in Andhra Pradesh, subsidies should be granted, and the industry should be fostered, backing Chiranjeevi’s call for artists to be respected across both Telugu states.

Looking Ahead

Hema’s powerful words underscore a renewed call for industry unity and government backing. With Chiranjeevi leading the charge for artist respect and AP subsidies, a vibrant future for Telugu cinema, free from internal strife and fully supported by the state, seems not just a hope, but a tangible goal within reach.
