Following in the footsteps of his grandfather Nageswara Rao and father Nagarjuna, Chaitanya is particularly thriving in the hotels and food business sector. Nagarjuna himself has always specialized in introducing new flavors beyond conventional Indian cuisine, and similarly, Naga Chaitanya has ventured into offering unique Japanese-style dishes to the people of Hyderabad. As part of this endeavor, Naga Chaitanya launched two cloud kitchens. Recently, while discussing his food business, he shared some interesting insights. “I have a great fondness for Japanese cuisine,” he revealed. “Wherever I travel in the world, it’s my habit to taste Japanese dishes there. I felt compelled to bring that same taste to the people of Hyderabad. That’s why I ventured into the food business.” He explained that while he initially planned for a physical restaurant, the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown conditions prompted a change in plans. “At that time, it seemed like there was a good opportunity for cloud kitchens in the market. I immediately launched a cloud kitchen called ‘Shoyu,’ and it received a great response,” Chaitanya said.
During the discussion, Chaitanya also revealed a delightful secret about Nagarjuna: his father is incredibly fond of pizzas. He shared that Nagarjuna orders and enjoys new varieties of pizzas from his restaurant ‘Scoozi’ every Sunday, reportedly loving them very much. Clarifying the culinary focus of his ventures, Naga Chaitanya stated that ‘Shoyu’ exclusively offers Japanese-style food, while ‘Scoozi’ serves European and Continental-style dishes.

Even if I find a little free time, I try new dishes at home,” he said. He added a personal touch, revealing, “Sobhita tastes the new dishes I make first and provides feedback.
