Power Star Pawan Kalyan sparked a major controversy with sensational comments on film ticket prices. At his ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh‘ pre-release event, he slammed ‘begging’ for hikes, specifically naming films by Prabhas, NTR, and Allu Arjun. These bold remarks are now a hot topic, just as his own film gears up to shake the box office.

Ticket Prices: PK’s Shocking Stand

SHOCKING: Power Star Pawan Kalyan recently made sensational comments regarding ticket prices for films featuring stars like Prabhas, NTR, and Allu Arjun, declaring, “Begging won’t work!” These remarks, made at the pre-release event for his upcoming film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, have become a hot topic as he gears up to once again shake the box office.

The pre-release event for ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, set for a grand release on March 19th, was celebrated grandly in Hyderabad on Sunday. The entire film unit, including special attractions Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna, attended.

Pawan Kalyan captivated the audience with his speech, revealing the challenges he faces in filmmaking while serving as Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking at the event, Pawan expressed his happiness, stating, “Telugu cinema has reached the Oscars. I am happy to be a part of such a history of Telugu cinema.”

He also humorously recounted a conversation where director Harish Shankar suggested inviting Chiranjeevi Garu. Pawan quoted himself as saying, “If you want a hero, don’t call my brother. If you want Chiranjeevi Garu’s brother, then call my brother.” He added that when his elder brother is by his side, he even forgets that he is a hero.

Pawan clarified that the film faced several delays. “This film was delayed due to several reasons. The story changed. Covid came. After that, due to dedicating time to politics, I allotted very few dates for this film,” he explained. He praised director Harish Shankar and Mythri Movies for their efficient planning, ensuring his time was not wasted.

Ustaad: Balancing Star and Deputy CM

He further revealed that Sreeleela’s performance will be a major highlight, noting, “There’s a reason Sreeleela isn’t dancing in this film; her character is very strong. You will witness Sreeleela’s amazing performance in this movie.” He also commended Raashi Khanna for agreeing to act without even hearing the script, simply determined to be a part of the project.

Reflecting on his acting challenges, he mentioned, “I don’t know horse riding, but Harish Shankar made me do it in Gabbar Singh. With a director like Harish, we can push our boundaries.” He acknowledged that sometimes, due to lack of time for politics, he feels like stopping films altogether. However, unlike other politicians, Pawan asserted, “I don’t have businesses. If someone plans a film without wasting my time, I will do it. If any directors or producers come to me wanting to make a film, I tell them to plan like Harish and Mythri Movies.”

He then delivered a strong warning regarding ticket prices. “Since we are in the government, producers often come to me asking to increase ticket rates. I told them one thing: I know how hard you work to make a film. You shouldn’t beg by saying ‘Dehi’ (give me).” He explained that if cinema ticket prices are increased, 18% of it goes to the government in the form of GST. Pawan cited that ticket prices were increased for Allu Arjun‘s ‘Pushpa 2’, NTR’s film, and Prabhas Garu’s film, as well as for the film ‘Kantara’.

Expectations are already huge for Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, and these recent comments have further increased interest in the film. Stay tuned for more film updates.

Looking Ahead

Pawan Kalyan’s emphatic comments have certainly amplified the ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ buzz. Crucially, this bold stance from a top star could spark vital industry dialogue. Will his advocacy for fair pricing inspire a more audience-centric approach? Future blockbusters will truly reveal its impact.
