His candid reflections truly captivated attendees, marking a memorable comeback.

Triumphant Return: ‘Biker’s’ Success

Veteran actor Rajasekhar made a significant return to the big screen with the film ‘Biker’ after a considerable hiatus. The film, directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara and starring Sharwanand and Malavika Nair, was released on March 3rd. Following its significant success, the film crew organized a success meet where Rajasekhar shared fascinating insights about his experience, Sharwanand, and the movie. He began by expressing his gratitude to producer Vamsi and director Abhilash Reddy for offering him such a meaningful role. Rajasekhar stated that ‘Biker’ achieved tremendous success, and he hopes to act in more good roles of this kind. He also mentioned that Sharwanand took excellent care of him during the film’s shooting.

Discussing a personal anecdote, Rajasekhar revealed that his sister’s children at home affectionately call him ‘Doctor Mavayya’ (Doctor Uncle). “Even their children don’t call me ‘Thatha’ (grandfather); they also refer to me as ‘Doctor Mavayya’,” he clarified. “Normally, I don’t like being called ‘Thathayya’ (grandfather),” Rajasekhar admitted. “But during the shooting of this film, when this young man (Sharwanand) came and called me ‘Thathayya’, I felt deeply affected. I wondered, ‘What is this? None of my relatives call me ‘Thatha’, but through this film, everyone will see me being called ‘Thatha’. Did I take on this film unnecessarily?’ I was quite emotional about it.”

However, Rajasekhar expressed happiness with the excellent response the film received and stated his readiness to act in more such good films. He humorously recounted how Sharwanand looked after him like a father on the film set, even jokingly ‘threatening’ his daughters after a quarrel that he would go and live with his ‘son’ (Sharwanand).

Father-Son Bond: A “Thatha” Dilemma

Rajasekhar further revealed that he had some reservations when he initially committed to the film. He explained, “Sharwanand chooses very diverse stories. I thought long and hard about whether acting in this film would be a career advantage for me or not before I decided to be a part of it.”

In ‘Biker,’ Rajasekhar played the role of Sunil Narang, Sharwanand’s father. This racing-themed film was well-received by audiences, and Rajasekhar’s comments are now making headlines. His fans are eagerly wishing for him to take on more significant roles in the future, and he is expected to appear before audiences with more films soon.

Looking Ahead

Rajasekhar’s emotional “Biker” comments reaffirm his enduring star power. This successful ‘Thatha’ role is truly a powerful second innings for our beloved ‘Angry Young Man’. Telugu audiences eagerly await his next, confident he’ll continue gracing screens, enriching our cinema with his formidable presence.
