Vikramm Bhambri’s Scenes Trimmed
Every actor in Aditya Dhar ’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is currently basking in the film’s success. The film, which shows no signs of slowing down, has already crossed the lifetime earnings of its first part, collecting over ₹ 1,400 crore worldwide. Amid the success, one of the actors, Vikramm Bhambri, revealed that several of his scenes were cut from the final edit, which left him disappointed. However, he said he is still enjoying the film’s success.
The actor further revealed that many of his scenes were chopped off in the final cut. He said, “But when the film was released, I didn’t see as much presence and visibility as we had shot. When I watched Part 1 with my parents, I felt very sad. An actor wants visibility, so I felt unsettled for a couple of days as many of my scenes, which we shot, were chopped off, maybe due to some unavoidable reasons. But that was very disappointing for me. My parents kept telling me to be thankful, but the heart doesn’t always listen.”
Initial Disappointment and Parental Advice
He added that things changed after an unexpected interaction with a delivery person. “Then something happened; on the second day, a delivery person came and said, ‘Sir, I saw you yesterday… You are in Dhurandhar, right?’ That moment changed everything. I became the happiest person.”
Vikramm shared that after that moment, he stopped dwelling on his scenes being cut and instead felt grateful to be associated with a project as big as Dhurandhar. He added that he is now simply enjoying the film’s success.
A Delivery Person’s Impactful Recognition
The film surpassed the collection of its predecessor within two weeks and has now collected over ₹ 1,400 crore worldwide and ₹ 920 crore net in India. While Dhurandhar: The Revenge has overtaken biggies like RRR, Kalki 2898 AD and others, it is yet to beat Pushpa 2: The Rule and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Vikramm Bhambri’s experience highlights the emotional rollercoaster of the film industry. Despite facing disappointment, he learned to embrace the success of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and appreciate the recognition, proving that even small roles can have a big impact.
