Hyderabad: Global Film Hub Vision

SHOCKING: CM Revanth’s sensational announcement on film shootings! Major changes in Tollywood!! Latest News!
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a sensational announcement regarding film shootings, alongside elaborating on the government’s extensive measures to develop Hyderabad city. His core vision includes transforming Hyderabad into a great global city, ensuring there’s no need for filmmakers to go abroad by highlighting wonderful locations within the city, developing a vibrant night economy and improving employment opportunities through the rejuvenation of the Musi River, and assuring full support and facilities to all displaced persons. Underscoring his commitment to Hyderabad’s development, CM Revanth Reddy stated that the people’s government is undertaking various projects worth Rs. 24,500 crores for the development of roads, highways, and infrastructure within the Greater City limits. As part of this initiative, he laid the foundation stones for the Banjara Hills – Shilpa Layout Elevated Corridor and the Budvel Trumpet Interchange. Additionally, on Friday, CM Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Kotwal Guda Eco-Hill Park. Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that Shamshabad is slated to become a bullet train hub, with facilities connecting to Bengaluru, Amaravati, and Chennai cities originating from there. He assured that while new projects might cause inconvenience to some, affected individuals would not be abandoned. He pledged support to those losing land and homes and promised to provide all facilities to displaced persons. He declared his ambition to develop Hyderabad into one of the greatest cities in the world, attracting companies like those of Trump and Elon Musk, and ensuring the city can compete globally.

Addressing the issue of film production, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized, “People are going abroad for film shootings. There is no city more beautiful than Hyderabad in the country. With a good government, it can be developed into a world-class city.” He recalled the historical efforts to bring Krishna and Godavari waters to the city during the time of Chandrababu and YS, and highlighted the Nizam Nawab’s initiatives, such as constructions on the Musi for flood prevention with engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, and the planting of medicinal trees in Vikarabad. He also pointed to Hyderabad’s rich heritage with structures like Osmania Hospital, Golconda, and the Assembly.

Acknowledging current challenges, the Chief Minister noted, “Hyderabad is filled with encroachments and garbage. When I say I will improve the city, they don’t agree. They say, ‘We didn’t do it, so you shouldn’t either.’ They have acquired farmhouses.” He mentioned sending public representatives abroad to study urban improvement models. Drawing parallels, he stated, “There was some opposition when the airport was built, but it has now become a great asset.” He affirmed, “Nobody wants to live amidst the filth of the Musi. We will establish a night economy alongside the Musi, creating employment.”

Hyderabad’s Mega Transformation Plans

He also touched upon welfare schemes, remarking, “Daughters (women) are shining like kingfishers in Indiramma sarees. The Bathukamma sarees given previously were used to swat birds. This time, we will provide Indiramma sarees in a different color.”

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s announcements are creating a stir in Tollywood, particularly his vision for Hyderabad as a premier shooting destination and his plans for developing the night economy through Musi rejuvenation. It remains to be seen whether the government’s ambitious efforts for Hyderabad’s development will yield the desired results. Stay tuned for more updates!
