Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited Ustaad Bhagat Singh is generating immense buzz, but a recent casting revelation has caught fans’ attention. Director Harish Shankar has now candidly explained why actor Mallareddy, initially slated to portray the villain, was ultimately dropped from the project. This unexpected change has sparked considerable discussion, and Shankar’s reasons offer intriguing insight into the film’s creative process.

Reunion Blockbuster: Expectations Soar

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, is slated for release on March 26th, with extensive promotional activities already underway. This highly anticipated film marks the reunion of Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar after their blockbuster Gabbar Singh, and expectations are incredibly high for their next project.

Pawan Kalyan will once again be seen in the role of a police officer, with Srileela starring as one of the heroines and Raashi Khanna also featuring in a significant female lead role. Produced prestigiously by Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The previously released song ‘Dekh Lenge Saale’ received excellent acclaim, and the recently launched ‘Aara’ song is also making waves on social media, garnering a great reception during its launch event where Harish Shankar shared many interesting details with fans.

Villain Casting: A Hero Too Popular

Among these revelations, Harish Shankar disclosed a surprising reason regarding the film’s antagonist. While actor Parthiban will ultimately be seen challenging Pawan Kalyan as the antagonist, it was initially revealed that Harish Shankar had approached prominent politician and former minister Mallareddy for the villain’s role. Although Harish felt Mallareddy would be suitable for the part, he was dropped at the last minute. Harish Shankar recently explained his decision: “I had intended to cast Mr. Mallareddy as the villain in this film, but he has a hero-level fan following; in everyone’s eyes, he is a hero. I didn’t want to bring in a hero and portray him as a villain, which is why we decided against him.”

Despite Mallareddy not acting in the film, the makers are receiving his full support, and it is worth noting that the film’s second single was even launched at Mallareddy College, where Harish Shankar addressed the students present. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is understood to be an action-packed entertainer. With the previous collaboration between Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan, Gabbar Singh, achieving tremendous success, all eyes are now on how Pawan Kalyan will impress in his police role and whether this film will achieve a similar level of success. Overall, expectations for Ustaad Bhagat Singh are massive.

Looking Ahead

Mallareddy’s support is admirable, but the real challenge awaits Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan. Post-Gabbar Singh’s legendary success, Ustaad Bhagat Singh shoulders colossal expectations. Can Power Star’s police avatar deliver another iconic hit, setting new box-office records? The South eagerly awaits this cinematic storm!
