“Hey Bhagavan” is the talk of the town, and director Gopi Achanta is finally spilling the beans! Ever wondered why the popular duo Shivani Nagaram and Suhas were chosen for this eagerly anticipated film? We get exclusive insights from Achanta himself, exploring their undeniable on-screen chemistry, the film’s unique blend of comedy and emotions, and all the details leading up to its grand release.

Director’s Choice: Why Shivani for ‘Hey Bhagavan’?

Why Shivani? What’s the real story behind ‘Hey Bhagavan’? Suhas’s magic revealed! Shivani Nagaram, often called the ‘Little Hearts‘ beauty, is set to star as the heroine in the upcoming film ‘Hey Bhagavan’, directed by Gopi Achanta. The director clarified his decision to cast Shivani, stating that their previously successful combination, notably in the hit film ‘Ambajipeta’, established them as a popular duo with undeniable chemistry. This proven pairing was a key factor in repeating the combination for ‘Hey Bhagavan’.

The film is produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the Trishul Visionary Studios banner, with Gopi Achanta at the helm. Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati, known for films like ‘Little Hearts’, ‘Rajuweds Rambhai’, and ‘Eesha’, are presenting ‘Hey Bhagavan‘ – described as a full-length, out-and-out entertainer – under the Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works banners. The cast also includes veteran actor Naresh and anchor Sravanthi.

Ahead of its February 20 release, director Gopi Achanta shared details of the film with the media. He revealed, “Suhas, the hero of this film, was my junior in school. I’ve been on a journey with Suhas since ‘Colour Photo’, and I also worked on ‘Writer Padmabhushan’. I previously worked under director S. Narayana in Kannada. This story was specifically written with Suhas in mind. While Suhas wasn’t involved in the scripting process, he would share his thoughts and opinions on set.”

Suhas’s Magic: Comedy, Emotion, and Fresh Story

Achanta continued, “Suhas’s strength lies in comedy, which is why I crafted this film as an out-and-out comedy entertainer. Besides comedy, it also features strong emotions. We’ve portrayed the father-son dynamic in a very fresh manner. The film is designed to appeal to everyone. In our lives, we encounter countless situations that make us exclaim ‘Hey Bhagavan!’ (Oh God!), and the film is filled with such moments. That’s why we chose this title. There will be no controversies in this film. Audiences will be laughing happily from the beginning right up to the pre-climax. While it’s a complete comedy entertainer, it will also feature an emotional touch towards the end.”

He added, “Suhas’s character in this film is distinct from his previous roles, and he will keep audiences entertained throughout. We completed the film’s shooting in just 36 days. This is a film that the whole family can watch together, promising both laughter and emotional depth.” The popular Suhas-Shivani pairing is thus poised to light up the silver screen once again with ‘Hey Bhagavan’, which is slated for release on February 20.

Looking Ahead

With Suhas promising a fresh avatar and Shivani pairing up again, ‘Hey Bhagavan’ is undoubtedly poised to capture hearts on February 20. The director’s assurance of wholesome family entertainment, blending laughter with heartfelt emotions, makes this swiftly-shot film a definite must-watch. Expect a memorable cinematic treat from this beloved duo.
