The film’s plot revolves around love, jealousy, and suspicion surrounding a TV. A village love story set against a 1996 backdrop! ‘Thimmarajupalli TV’ is a film starring Sai Tej and Veda Jaladhar as the lead pair. Produced by actor Kiran Abbavaram under the KA Productions banner, with the collaboration of Sumaira Studios, the film was directed by V. Muniraju. ‘Thimmarajupalli TV’ was released in theaters today, April 17th. Pradeep Kotte, Swathi Karimireddy, Amma Ramesh, Satyanarayana, Lateesh, and several others played key roles. The story takes place in 1996, in a village called Thimmarajupalli near Kuppam. Every Shivaratri, Satish (Sai Tej) collects money from everyone and rents a TV and VCR to screen movies. Sharada (Veda Jaladhar), the sister of Rajappa (Pradeep Kotte), who lives in the same village, and Satish are in love. After Rajappa gets married, he buys the first TV for Thimmarajupalli. The village elder, Ramachandrayya (Amma Ramesh), feels his prestige is at stake because Rajappa is buying everything before him, and he decides to do something about it. Siddhayya, another villager, wants to marry Sharada by any means and tries to frame Satish at every turn. When Satish and Sharada’s relationship becomes known to everyone, Rajappa and Satish get into a fight. The very next morning, the TV goes missing from Rajappa’s house. Consequently, the entire village accuses Satish of the theft. Who actually stole the TV? How will Satish clear his name? What happened to Satish and Sharada’s love story? What troubles did Satish face because of Siddhayya? What did village elder Ramachandrayya do? To know all this, one must watch the film on screen. Kiran Abbavaram always encourages new talent. In this vein, he turned producer and introduced almost 40 new actors, actresses, and technicians with this film, ‘Thimmarajupalli TV’. With a storyline depicting life when TVs were new, the teaser and trailers alone built high expectations for the film. This story was filmed against a village backdrop in 1996. The TV theft… accusations against Satish! The first half charmingly portrays the fun of having a TV back then, the love story of Satish and Sharada, and the love story of Rajappa and his wife. Before the interval, the village elder’s jealousy and the clash between Rajappa and Satish build intrigue for the second half. The second half unfolds with Satish proving his innocence and the revelation of who stole the TV. The first half proceeds simply with cute love stories. The comedy works in places. While one might expect the second half to seriously focus on how Satish proves his innocence, it gets dragged out a bit with a love emotion in between. The second half has some lag. How Satish discovers the thief in the climax is shown quite simply. However, who the thief is remains completely unpredictable. The climax also effectively portrays some emotion. The conflict that raises suspicions about whether it’s this person or that person as the thief is very well executed. Along with the lead pair, the story of Rajappa and Yellamma also stands out as a highlight of the film. If one expects a cute love story and comedy film, it surprises with its suspense genre. Despite featuring all newcomers, the film was well-made under Kiran Abbavaram’s supervision. Many of the newcomers in this film delivered outstanding performances. Hero Sai Tej acted very well. Heroine Veda Jaladhar appeared cute and also acted skillfully. Pradeep Kotte is a highlight of the film. He also impressed with his performance, like a second hero. Swathi Karimireddy also looked cute and impressed with her fine acting. Amma Ramesh and the rest of the cast all performed well in their respective roles. It’s noteworthy that Kiran Abbavaram provided a voice-over at the beginning of the film. Kiran Abbavaram as a producer championing new talent! The cinematography and visuals are good.
The background music was a significant advantage for the film. The action sequences were also good. The locations were a major asset for this film; given the 1996 village backdrop, they were scouted and selected very well to match the setting. The director penned and filmed a new story with an engaging screenplay, effectively integrating elements of a routine love story. It would have been better if some lagging scenes were trimmed during editing. From a production standpoint, Kiran Abbavaram spent generously on this film, ensuring rich visuals. Overall, ‘Timmarajupally TV’ was directed engagingly, combining a cute love story with the suspense of a TV theft. This film can be watched with family. The film can be given a rating of 2.75.
