Director Reveals Katrina’s Casting Story
Shocking: Did Katrina Kaif work so hard for Venkatesh? Vijay Bhaskar’s sensational revelations! Here’s some amazing news for you about the film ‘Malliswari’, which brought together the combination of Victory Venkatesh and Katrina Kaif. Director Vijay Bhaskar himself revealed several interesting facts about the film. These include the true story behind Katrina Kaif’s selection as the heroine, how the Venkatesh-Katrina Kaif pairing created a box office sensation, the initial challenges of shooting scenes without dialogues due to Katrina’s lack of Telugu knowledge, and how he directed the film under Suresh Babu’s production, sparing no expense. Let’s delve into these special details!
We all know that Victory Venkatesh starred as the hero in the film ‘Malliswari’ many years ago. This film, which featured Katrina Kaif as the heroine, was directed by Vijay Bhaskar. Released in 2004, the movie achieved great success at the time. Recently, the director, Vijay Bhaskar, participated in an interview where he explained the reasons for selecting Katrina Kaif for ‘Malliswari’ and the circumstances that followed.
Malliswari: From Challenges to Box Office Triumph
Vijay Bhaskar recalled, “Venkatesh and I worked together on the film ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’. Do you know the real story behind ‘Malliswari’? ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’ achieved great success, and after that, we both wanted to make ‘Malliswari’. As it was our next film after ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’, expectations soared. Producer Mr. Suresh Babu also gave me full freedom, telling me not to compromise on expenses at all. The heroine’s role in ‘Malliswari’ is very important. So, I considered many options for who would be suitable as the heroine, but no one really appealed to me much. At that time, I unexpectedly saw an ad on TV. Katrina Kaif appeared in it. I liked her very much. After a lot of effort, I managed to get her contact. I went to her and told her about the film offer. She wasn’t particularly thrilled about it. But I somehow convinced her and narrated the story. After hearing the story, she said okay. After that, she also faced some difficulties with the shooting. She didn’t know Telugu. So, for the first few days, we filmed scenes that didn’t require dialogues. After that, Katrina became very active. She supported the film very well. I felt very happy working with her. Initially, I thought working with her would be difficult, but later it turned out to be very easy.”
