The internet is buzzing as Nandamuri Balakrishna delivers a viral satirical take on ‘Simham Navvindi’, a major box-office disaster from 1983 where he co-starred with his illustrious father, NTR. This shocking commentary on a prestigious Nandamuri family production’s failure has set social media alight, offering fans an intriguing glimpse into his perspective.

Balayya’s Viral Quip on Family Flop

Nandamuri Balakrishna has made shocking, satirical remarks about `Simham Navvindi`, a film he co-starred in with his father, NTR, sparking sensational buzz and becoming a trending topic. Throughout his career, Balakrishna has starred in numerous films with ‘Simha’ (Lion) in their titles, experiencing both significant hits and notable failures. Among these, `Simham Navvindi` (The Lion Laughed), a collaboration between NTR and Balayya, stands out as a major box-office disaster. This film, released on March 3, 1983, was a prestigious Nandamuri family production: NTR played a pivotal role, Balayya and Kala Ranjini were the lead pair, D. Yoganand directed, Nandamuri Harikrishna produced, and Nandamuri Mohanakrishna served as cinematographer. Despite the familial collaboration, the film unfortunately ended up as a box-office failure.

Balakrishna’s ‘Simha’ titled films include `Veerasimha Reddy`, `Jai Simha`, `Simha`, `Samarasimha Reddy`, `Narasimha Naidu`, `Seema Simham`, `Lakshmi Narasimha`, `Bobbili Simham`, and `Simham Navvindi`. Out of these, `Veerasimha Reddy`, `Simha`, `Samarasimha Reddy`, `Narasimha Naidu`, `Lakshmi Narasimha`, and `Bobbili Simham` were hits. `Jai Simha` performed averagely, while `Seema Simham` didn’t do particularly well. `Simham Navvindi`, however, remains the biggest disaster among them.

Simha Films: Balayya’s Career Rollercoaster

Recently, Balayya’s sarcastic comments about `Simham Navvindi` during the pre-release event of an Allu Sirish movie went viral. At the event, Sirish asked Balayya, “You mentioned the films with ‘Simha’ in their titles that you’ve acted in. Besides these, there’s another ‘Simha’ titled film you did. Can you name it?” Balayya responded with ‘Bobbili Simham’. When Sirish indicated that wasn’t it, Balakrishna retorted with a punchline, “If it’s not a lion, is it a tiger then?” Subsequently, when Sirish revealed that Balayya had indeed done `Simham Navvindi`, Balayya quipped, “What’s a lion laughing? Unless it’s crazy! Is that why the movie failed?” It is particularly noteworthy that Balayya delivered these punchlines about a film he starred in alongside his father, NTR, and which was a complete family production. This video clip has recently resurfaced and gone viral again, sparking much laughter and discussion on social media, where Balakrishna’s comments are now trending.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently one of Tollywood’s top and senior heroes. He had been on a winning streak with consecutive hits, though his momentum was recently paused by `Akhanda 2`. Balayya’s career has seen many such setbacks, often observing a pattern where a hit would follow several failures, only for him to go without a hit for a few more years. However, he broke that pattern, achieving continuous successes and topping the success rate. Now, with `Akhanda 2` interrupting that run, he is reportedly planning his next move meticulously. Currently, Balayya is starring in a film titled `NBK111` with Gopichand Malineni, which is in the filming stage. Fans are eagerly awaiting his next film.

Looking Ahead

Balayya’s Simham Navvindi satire affirms his legendary resilience. After Akhanda 2’s pause, the Lion Star is meticulously crafting NBK111. Fans know Balayya thrives on comebacks; his next roar is keenly awaited. Expect nothing less than a powerful return from the undisputed crowd-puller.
