Director Harish Shankar has strongly hit back at persistent trolls targeting his recent film, ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Acknowledging the film’s box office struggles against the pan-India juggernaut ‘Dhurandhar 2’, Shankar drew a clear line between genuine feedback and baseless negativity, issuing a stern warning to anonymous online detractors and sparking widespread discussion.

Director Tackles ‘Ustaad’ Trolls

Director Harish Shankar has sharply responded to the recent trolls targeting his film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh,’ a collaboration with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. His comments have quickly become a widely discussed topic. Shankar addressed the negative comments circulating on social media regarding ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh,’ acknowledging that the film’s box office performance did not meet expectations, largely due to the massive impact of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2,’ which was rewriting records on a pan-India level. He clarified that while he would consider constructive criticism, he would not pay attention to baseless trolls or anonymous individuals. “For example, if someone says, ‘that particular scene should have been written better’ or ‘the first half is a bit slow,’ I will definitely take it into consideration,” Harish Shankar stated. “But I will not take seriously the trolls made by anonymous individuals. I don’t need to think about people who can’t even reveal their own address.”

Shankar further shared his personal experience, noting, “When I said I would enter films, my own parents trolled me. They asked, ‘Can you really become a director?’ So, none of this is new to me.”

Shankar’s Warning: Block or Complain

He issued a strong warning to trollers: “If anyone uses abusive language or crosses boundaries, I will immediately block them or file a complaint. I believe I have succeeded by overcoming many obstacles to bring this film to the theaters.”

Harish Shankar’s counter-response is now widely circulating on social media.

Looking Ahead

Harish Shankar’s strong warning, now viral, underscores a critical point: our industry will not tolerate unchecked trolling. As his response resonates, this incident could mark a turning point, prompting more respectful online interactions or intensifying the digital war against creative voices. The ball is now in the fans’ court.
