A storm is brewing in Tollywood! Director S.V. Krishna Reddy has finally unveiled the true, startling reason Nagarjuna’s ambitious film, ‘Raj Kumarudu,’ was shelved. He disclosed massive budget constraints were the sole hurdle, sensationally claiming this project had the potential to be a ‘Baahubali’-level cinematic marvel. This long-kept secret now sparks immense discussion among fans.

Director Reveals Shelved Nagarjuna Film Budget Truth

A sensation is sweeping Tollywood following Director S. V. Krishna Reddy’s startling revelations regarding the real reason his planned film with Nagarjuna was stalled. Krishna Reddy himself has now disclosed the full details behind the shelved project, confirming that budget issues were the sole reason for ‘Raj Kumarudu‘ with Nagarjuna being shelved. He revealed the film was halted due to its massive budget, an investment producer Narsareddy ultimately could not undertake. Krishna Reddy sensationally commented that if that story had been made into a film, it would have been a ‘Baahubali’ level movie.

S. V. Krishna Reddy is a senior star director in Tollywood, known for achieving tremendous success, particularly with small and medium-range heroes. While his films with star heroes have been relatively fewer, he directed ‘Vajram’ with Yuva Samrat Akkineni Nagarjuna during his peak as a star director. However, ‘Vajram’ did not achieve significant success compared to Krishna Reddy’s earlier works.

The director had initially intended to make a different film, titled ‘Raj Kumarudu,’ with Nagarjuna, and an announcement had even been made. But at the last minute, ‘Vajram’ was produced instead of that original story.

The ‘Baahubali’ Level Film That Never Was

Recently, in an interview, Krishna Reddy finally disclosed the reasons why the planned ‘Raj Kumarudu’ film with Nagarjuna was shelved due to budget complications. He stated, “I wanted to make a big-budget film named ‘Raj Kumarudu’ with Nagarjuna Garu. But it would require a very high budget. When producer Narsareddy heard about the budget, he said it was beyond his capacity. Consequently, I was unable to make that high-budget movie I had planned with Nagarjuna. So, I proceeded with a different story and made another film. If that original story had been made into a movie, even if it wasn’t exactly a ‘Baahubali’ level film, it would have certainly been an amazing movie.”

S. V. Krishna Reddy’s comments about budget issues being the reason for the film with Nagarjuna being stalled are now going viral, sending ripples through the industry.

Looking Ahead

Krishna Reddy’s admission highlights the stark financial realities even for high-profile projects. As ripples spread, the question remains: will ‘Raj Kumarudu’ ever see the light? This episode is a potent reminder that even star power isn’t immune to budget constraints, prompting industry-wide introspection for future ventures.
