The film ‘Manyam Dheerudu’ has shattered records and elevated Telugu cinema’s reputation to a global level by winning the prestigious Malaysian Ugadi Puraskar for Best Film. This recognition took place during the grand 2026 Ugadi celebrations (MUP Awards 2026), organized with great pomp by the Klang branch of the Malaysian Telugu Association. Held at the Sundar Perumal Temple Auditorium, the award was presented to R.V.V. Satyanarayana, who both acted in and produced the film, and his wife, Smt. R. Parvati Devi.
Klang North District Police Commissioner Vijayarao attended the event as the chief guest, held under the leadership of Malaysian Telugu Association Chairman Subrahmanyam. He grandly honored the couple, presenting them with the award. Commissioner Vijayarao specifically congratulated Satyanarayana on the occasion for bringing the inspiring story of revolutionary hero Alluri Seetharama Raju to screen with ‘Manyam Dheerudu‘, thus proclaiming the self-respect of Telugus and the greatness of India.
