Sravanthi Chokkarapu has dropped a bombshell, making sensational claims about losing a coveted heroine role due to her marriage. Her shocking revelation, where she alleges producers ‘ghosted’ her after finding out she tied the knot, has sent ripples across Tollywood. This candid confession is now the talk of the town, sparking vital conversations about industry practices.

Marriage Cost Her a Heroine Role

Sravanthi Chokkarapu has made sensational comments about a shocking incident where she lost a heroine opportunity in a film due to her marriage, which has quickly become a hot topic in Tollywood.

Sravanthi, who gained significant recognition through the Bigg Boss program, is currently busy advancing her career by anchoring a series of film events. She recently played a key role in the film ‘Hey Bhagavan,’ which stars Suhas as the hero and Shivani Nagaram (also known as Shivani) as the heroine, and is scheduled for release on February 28th.

During promotions for the film, Sravanthi participated in an interview where she detailed the ups and downs she faced in her career. “I entered the film industry many years ago,” Sravanthi stated. “While I was trying for films, I got an opportunity in a movie. They considered me for the heroine’s role in that film, which made me very happy. Afterwards, they did a photoshoot with both me and the hero. They were satisfied with that too. Everything was finalized. They said they would give the advance in Chennai. After everything was okay, I told them that I was married.”

New Hope: ‘Hey Bhagavan’ Release

She continued, “After that, I received no phone calls from the movie team. They subsequently did not cast me in that film. Thus, I lost a film opportunity that had come my way, simply because I was married. After so many years, I finally got a good opportunity in the film ‘Hey Bhagavan.’ The director of this film, Gopi, cast me without any auditions, even though it’s my first film with him. He directed this movie very well. This film will be a great success and bring me good recognition.”

It remains to be seen how Sravanthi Chokkarapu’s career will unfold. Let’s look forward to the release of ‘Hey Bhagavan.’ Stay tuned for more film updates.

Looking Ahead

Sravanthi’s experience sadly mirrors challenges many actresses face post-marriage in our industry. While we keenly await ‘Hey Bhagavan’ to see her shine, this incident should prompt a vital conversation. May her talent alone dictate her journey, reminding the film fraternity to truly celebrate merit, not marital status.
