Mumbai, June 7. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta reflected on what is killing the movie experience in theatres via his latest social media post.

Sanjay further pointed out that another reason is the hiked prices of the theatre food, stopping people from enjoying the wholesome theatre experience with their loved ones.

Taking to his X (Previously known as X) timeline, Sanjay wrote, "YouTube, Netflix, Prime, Hotstar, Satellite TV aren't killing movies. 700 rupee popcorn tubs and 450 rupee cold drinks aided by bad stories, lazy writing and stars who stopped surprising us are. The audience hasn't left. They've been abandoned. (sic)."
